The Bayswater Rail Project involved an alliance of key organisations that began removing the $177m Bayswater Level Crossings. The project involved lowering the rail line and raising the road at Mountain Hwy and Scoresby Rd, rebuilding Bayswater Train Station, constructing a new bus interchange, and modifying the streetscape along Mountain Hwy. Additional features included creating a grade-separated shared-use path and new public spaces.
